21.7.2010 - Sixth album finished

After an incubation period of nearly nine months, Alghazanth's sixth full-size bastard has now finally hatched. The process was at times as torturing as it was long but now as we hold the mastered version of the album in our hands we can - just like after finishing Wreath of Thevetat - be completely satisfied with the result.

The actual release date is yet to be decided but with strong likelihood we're looking at a late September/early October release. We'll keep you posted on this as twists and turns unfold.

In the not-so-distant future you will get a taster of what is about to be unleashed so once again keep your eyes on the news every now and then...

3.3.2010 - A special live performance in Firebox Metalfest

We will be sharing the stage with Marduk (Swe), Demonical (Swe), Skepticism (Fin) and Torture Killer (Fin) on the 23rd of April at Firebox Metal Fest in Seinäjoki, Finland. Because Goat Tormentor is occupied elsewhere around that time, the gig will be done with Thasmorg handling the vocals. There will also be two new songs from the upcoming album in the set so be sure to be there if you want a taste of what is yet to be unleashed.

3.3.2010 - All instruments are done

We have finally completed the recording part of the new album's birthing process. Well, almost completed, that is. There are a few extra ingredients to be thrown into the cauldron but everything else has been successfully captured on "tape". Once we get those last minor details added to the whole we will get started with the mixing of the album. We've taken our time to record the instruments without messing things up in unnecessary haste and this is the same M.O. we're going to go with when it comes to the mixing part as well. So, it takes as long as it takes. We'll let you know how things proceed - stay tuned.

31.10.2009 - Samhain of the year 11

As the nearness of the Spirits grows strong it is an essential time to channel and materialize the vibrations flowing from their side of the Veil. In order to make the most of this influence upon us, we have commenced the recording process of our sixth full-length assault on this very date.

The path towards completing this Great Work will take both time and effort so the actual unveiling of the fruits of labour will be a matter of somewhat distant future. We will keep you posted on how things evolve so feel free to check in for new revelations every now and then.

22.07.2009 - Further revelations about Jalometalli Festival

It is now public knowledge that Alghazanth will be taking over the stage on Friday (14th of August, that is). So, keep this in mind when you're making plans for your unholy crusade to Oulu that weekend. The actual witching hour is yet to be revealed but it's safe to say that we will be amongst the first acts on Friday...

By the way, there will also be one new song in the set so you'll get a little taster of what is on its way sometime next year. That's one more reason for you to show up and partake in the blasphemies.

31.03.2009 - Alghazanth on stage at Jalometalli Metal Music Festival in mid-August

It has now been confirmed that Alghazanth will perform live at Jalometalli Festival. The festival will be held on the 14th and the 15th of August in Oulu, Finland. The schedule is yet to be announced and therefore we can't, at this point in time, reveal you whether we'll play on Friday or Saturday. More info on this will follow later on.

This will be the only live performance for Alghazanth this year so make sure you don't miss out on this one.

A statement concerning MySpace and the like

This is something that everyone out there should've figured out by themselves but since this is definitely not the case, let's put it down in clear writing: Alghazanth does NOT have a MySpace page and will NOT have one in the future either.

There is at least one site that we know of and, like any other similar site, it is NOT official by any means. In fact, we have absolutely nothing to do with such pages so don't try to contact us through them. Better yet, don't visit them at all...

Summa summarum: the only official source for information and songs is either www.alghazanth.com or the site(s) of Woodcut Records. All others are wholly unauthorized and should be treated as such.

20.10.2008 - A new payment method available

In addition to sending cash in a registered letter, it is now possible for those living within the EU to pay via bank transfer. If this payment method is preferred, state this in your e-mail when you submit your order and we will send you the necessary information (IBAN number, BIC code etc).

06.03.2008 - Alghazanth to support Mortuary Drape & Secrets of the Moon

Alghazanth will be warming up the unholy masses for the legendary Mortuary Drape (ITA) and Secrets of the Moon (GER) on their minitour in Finland.

25.02.2008 - The official album release gig

The official album release gig will take place at Lutakko, Jyväskylä on the 29th of February. Alghazanth will perform the live ritual with the support of another Finnish black metal horde, Charnel Winds.

25.02.2008 - Fifth album released in Scandinavia

Alghazanth's fifth full-length album has been released in Scandinavia by Woodcut Records. Rest of the world will follow later, we'll let you know when to duck & cover.
